Review for Chris Chapman Bespoke Kitchens & Furniture
Chris came highly recommended and his reputation was well-deserved. He is outstanding.
The whole process of talking and working with Chris was a pleasure and we are so happy with the result. We have an old, wonky house and the cabinets he created were for two adjoining rooms, which have quite different characteristics. By building highly bespoke kitchen cabinets that were in a coherent style but reflected the scale of each room, it made having our kitchen spread between two rooms seem intentional and practical. There is absolutely no way we could have achieved this incredible blend of form and function without a long design process and a talented, hands-on craftsmen in situ.
Chris is a wonderful designer with fantastic ideas, a lot of experience and someone who is great at communication and troubleshooting. We made a lot of suggestions and it was a creative partnership rather than our (sometimes impractical) ideas executed blindly or someone else’s vision imposed on us. This really feels like ‘our kitchen’ but we owe it to Chris thinking day and night about making the best possible result. The paint colour was matched to a drawer we lent him from a piece of our furniture. Even a long way into the project, Chris still kept inventing new details that might improve the details, even in areas that went beyond the original brief.
His team of craftsmen and his subcontractors were highly accomplished. We wish all building projects could be done so skilfully by someone who takes full responsibility for the site, the schedule, the budget, all the workmen and who truly cares that the client is totally delighted with the final outcome.
