Wall art

I had planned on putting a photo collage above my love seat when we were building our house, but hadn't even considered the light switch being in the way.... So now I'm not sure what to do? Do I rework the collage and centre it over the love seat, do I centre it on the wall, do I scrap that idea all together and go with something else? I'm completely stuck!

If you have track lighting then you can move the lights and have more flexibility.

As for the photo collage above the love seat, it is best when you have place finish. Then you can see the love seat and the wall space. By which you have a clearer idea of the space.

Move the love seat over if possible so you can put your collage above it. I'm assuming you can do that since you didn't say you couldn't.

Hello Claudia, Speaking from an art on walls point of view, I'm loving the challenge, so I present a few choice pieces for the wall above your two armchairs that I think will be a happy compliment to your existing decor and furnishings: As regards the picture above your piano, the colours work well with your room but you don't like the subject, right? If that's the case, this consideration will have to be a decision based on what subject(s) you really like or are quite sentimental to, as opposed to colour matching an art piece just to fit in with the rest of the room. If you do play the piano, musicians are very sentimental people, so you want something above the piano that you can "feel and connect to" when you're sitting there playing. It has to be sentimental to you, irrespective of what it is and what colour it may be, and not to consider it as part of the rooms overall decor. Have a Google for brass sunbursts mirrors, they are typical of Art Deco and come in a huge range of sizes and styles. Beware of so called art deco mirrors cast in brass with a female dancer in the frame, more Art Nouveau and they are mostly poor copies of the originals.
