Bedroom's bathroom

Should we put both sinks inside the bathroom? What's good/bad about that and about the current situation?

Personally - I'd remove the bath and put a giant twin shower there instead and then have one basin where the shower was ! It's much more fun to shower with your loved one, than brush your teeth together !

jn267, on the "no TV" question: I haven't had one since the mid-'80s and rarely watched it then. News came from radio and in print. Now I get it online, but I still select articles and avoid videos. I've always preferred music over extraneous "talking noise" at home and have never used TV as background, as many of my friends seem to do. The fact that I'm the world's worst multi-tasker may have something to do with it, but I don't think I do anything more interesting than anyone else does.

I’d be tempted by your first option - a small bathroom that is really well designed and with great fittings would be ok for me. I’d rather have a small (and lovely) bathroom and a decent bedroom size. Less than a year ago, we actually made our smallish bathroom ever so slightly smaller in order to make a bedroom a bit bigger. We also refitted and splashed out on higher quality fittings and lovely tiles - and it’s been a godsend! No one notices that it’s smaller - just nicer.

Are you planning to put storage space behind the framing under the eaves that I can see? While individual cupboards/shelves would be ideal, that's a lot of work and expense. I have a chalet, with a similar space, and we put two small doors into it, so that it can be used for backup storage for more occasional stuff like Christmas decorations. Amazingly useful! Looking at you first pic, I can't tell whether the stairs will arrive in the centre of the room or towards the window. Obviously you don't want the end of the bed right by the top of the stair, though otherwise that space between the pillars would easily turn into a fantastic bed area. Put up a pic of your plan, so we can see dimensions...

If I was selling, I’d leave as It is and let the buyer decide what the want rather than spending time and money plumbing. If renting I think I’d leave as it is. How big is the smallest room? Are people likely to see the house as 3 bed+ office. If there’s 4 good size bedrooms I think an en-suite would be more desirable. It depends on your market really!
