What do you think of my painting and room mashup?

This is my painting Paramour. Its painted on a box canvas size 36" x 24" and done with acrylics, resin, wax and some oils. I recently decided to do mash ups to show what it might look like in living rooms, bedrooms ect to get an idea of size and i wanted to know if you think it looks okay in that setting?

Perhaps add some cushions or a throw on the sofa with a little of the colour similar to your lovely picture

The colours in the painting are gorgeous. In the photo it looks like there is very dark blue and coral, which are very trendy colours, so you should definitely accessorise with those colours in the scheme.

The white panels and sofa create a square frame around the painting, which doesn't work with a rectangular portrait painting. Typically landscape works better above a sofa. For a portrait painting an end wall would be ideal. Or next to another painting similar in style and in the same dimensions.

It's a lovely light room but certainly a tricky one to furnish given the configuration of door with windows. Lesley345 is right that the easiest way to deal with it would be to consider it as a room of two halves to either side of the door. Then you can give each end a function so potentially the area to the left of the door where the TV is now could be a seating area and could take a corner sofa, while the opposite end could be more about watching the TV in the alcove and have a couple of comfortable chairs which could be easily adjusted in a situation where the TV was off and you had a larger group of friends/family around. you would then want to tie it all together by using a large rug to visually bring it all together. You could also look at having a projector rather than a TV and using the large white wall at one end to project onto. If watching TV isn't actually that important to you then you could create a seating area centrally to the room with the windows as the focal point and statement storage units/art work/piano at the ends of the room. It's not necessary to have furniture backed up against the walls and placing items centrally instead could help free up the way you consider the space. The key thing to do is to consider the activities that you want to do in the room most of the time and then decide on the furniture you need to support those activities, particularly considering ways to make things flexible and possibly multifunctional. What do you think about porcelain floor tiles for a living room?

I have wood effect tiles in my hall and kitchen, I'm not sure if they are porcelain or ceramic but they aren't holding up too well. Tiny chips appear and it looks like little specs of paint on the floor :( not sure where they come from whether it's when something is dropped on it or a chair scraped or something but I wouldn't have them down myself (they were here when we bought) I have however had Karndean flooring laid in my lounge and that is superb. Not noisy underfoot nor cold unlike wood and laminate so I'm very happy with that. Needs hoovering everyday though, but I have a toddler and a dog.

I like this colour, it`s fresh and brings light in. I would rather use it on accessories rather than painting the whole wall of it. I really love the painting and I agree wit he the previous comments. I also want to add a few things: The size is much bigger than needed for this space I would put a bit smaller square frame in this space. I believe you are trying to make your mash ups as realistic as possible and according to the light in this image the painting wouldn't look so bright and light.I don't know what software are you using but if you can play with the tonality of the painting so it look like it really was there in the chosen interior.
