Hiding a TV Box

We are moving in to a new build house in the next few weeks, and want to get a tv mounted on the wall. We don't plan to have any unit underneath the tv and would welcome any ideas about how to hide a TV box (Sky) that we want to use...

The sky installer should be able to supply a longer cable to allow positioning of your box elsewhere in the room !

Up vote the above answer, also you can mask the cable using white DIY selotape, or a clear one - gives even better effect.

Hi. Is it a full height window? If so, you should be able to get away with a tv enclosed in a cabinet. If not, if the tv sits under the windowsill it will look fine. Have you thought about the tv above the fire? I would maybe think abouT a small chaise sofa to get furniture into the middle of the room and perhaps a cabinet of sorts where the armchair is to blend in the piers? Do you have something with measurements as I'm just roughly estimating based on the kitchen!

Hi. You could tile it and add logs with or without a basket. If you didn't want to use the grate decorative box with accessories could look quite effective depending on your taste

Oh the joys of technology. I have to agree it is a pain with it dominating the area. I have a chair in front of mine and it does hide it all, thank goodness. Is there room for a small corner unit to be made by a carpenter and fitted there?
