The pendants are Alison Berger and were purchased through Holly Hunt.

Neon lighting creates a unique "soft" glow that seems to dissolve in the interior, in contrast to the "rough and sharp" incandescent bulbs or "sharp" points of LED strips. Low operating temperature. From all points of view is a positive property: from the standpoint of the fire department, it allows you to place a neon lamp anywhere without fear of fire (its operating temperature - no more than 40 degrees). From the engineer's point of view - evidence of high efficiency, because in incandescent lamps, the lion's share of energy is spent on heating the coil, but not on creating the luminous flux!

I too would ditch the vertical blinds. Our last house had horizontal wooden cladding that had been replaced with red roof type tiles, overlapping vertically roof style. It was done before we bought the house but looked so much better than the other houses in the street. And didn't need any further upkeep. Having ditched the blinds I'd plant something spectacular in the front garden to soften the view from the road and to give a bit more privacy. Maybe a Japanese maple, which is stunning in the autumn? I saw the Kmart and assumed the US, I didn't realise they were in Australia too (also wondered why you were up in the middle of the night but had seen the baby's bottle!). You've posted on the UK houzz so shopping is still tricky :( Dip dye is a great way to transform chairs but I don't think it will work with yours, painting them all over might though, in a shade of green or dark blue. Alternatively (blowing the budget on a light and chairs) you could look at replica eames. You may also be able to find green or blue ones as I've just had a quick look but the legs on these seem to tone with the floor and table. Like I said, anything over 8mm is overkill. If you’ve had issues in the pay then the cabinets have not been fixed & installed well enough. Industry standard is 8mm for a reason. B&Q etc are cheaper because 1. They have the monopoly & 2. They come flat pack & 3. Theres Limited choice in colours & sizes. They also use cheaper materials Upgrading to MCF egged with other companies (such as DIY) is the what gives the extra quality. Note they are still 8mm backs. In fact, there’s a lot of info on the DIY kitchen website about carcasses
