Need help with sitting room- which curtains what colour walls?
Comments (9)Good evening!. Well your bay window shape is beautiful and you should make this a feature. Is privacy an issue?, if so opt for plantation shutters where light can still stream in, they look fantastic from the outside too. If privacy isn't an issue, I'd suggest Roman blinds in a beautiful fabric. Romans are a great way of creating a high end look on a limited budget as you don't need a lot of fabric so can opt for a statement fabric. Choose fabric first, lick out a neutral an tailor paint around that. The furniture looks ill fitting, consider a neutral leather with amazing cushions. Lighting is always an issue, and your accent lighting needs to enhance the rooms best side. Lighting these days doesn't need to be expensive to add beautiful statements to a room, look out for filament bulbs, they are amazing, and very cost effective!....See MorePlum curtains, what colour feature wall???
Comments (4)If you want to create a feature wall, I would use wallpaper for most impact. I think paint wouldn't be enough. I'd paint the whole space in soft light grey as a base - e.g. Valspar Whisper Soft or F&B Blackened and put bolder wallpaper on the feature wall with a hint of purple from your curtains. It can be a pattern or plain textured. If you want to use paint on the feature wall, inject a contrasting strong colour (such as ochre) to the space to balance the scheme out and make it more dynamic. You can flow that colour on cushions, art and accessories. Tell the story through the colour scheme....See Morered curtains, navy sofa, what wall colour?
Comments (5)Hi there - It's important to think about how you want the room to feel? You could paint the walls a dark colour but if you're not looking for a closed cosy space then dark walls may not be the one for you. Another thing to thing about is when will you be using this room? If its during the day you may want lighter colour to keep you energised and awake. So you see its all about how you want to feel! Any pictures of the room would be helpful too. Let me know your thoughts? Thanks Rukmini...See Morerevive main bedroom
Comments (10)Try lowering your bedsides, it will give you a better space to consider wall colour and open up the possibilty of some art. An artwork that you like might then lead you to a colour scheme. I think you need a bit of a change of scenery in the room as it's blending into the other rooms you have pictured. Pale blue and greys do well with woods of your lamps and dresser. A couple of examples, with one in a slight green tone. Some crisp white bedlinen might be a starting point whilst you think about colours....See More123elena123
