Hi there,

They're from http://en.housedoctor.dk/ and called "Cutting edge food" and "Funky beatroot" respectively. I don't know if they're still in stock but it's worth emailing them to ask! :)

I saw something similar in John Lewis a few years ago but thought I could replicate it for a fraction of the cost ..... And it worked. I bought an inexpensive square stretched canvas on a frame from The Range. I painted the whole lot with left over emulsion paint then made a circle template with paper to cover the edges. I then spattered three colours of metallic paint over it by having the canvass flat on the floor and flicking the paint off a brush from above. The end result looked very professional and everyone admired it. It would still be up today had it not got damaged during a house move.

I was wondering how do people search for and choose the perfect art print/poster? Where do you search - eg on Instagram or go straight to the more established home interiors websites? I think that two travel posters above the sofa would be lovely. Yes, I meant your sideboard. I'm Dutch and you people have so many different words for different storage things, that I often can't think of the right one :-D I've tought my English speaking friends the Dutch word: kast. And then we just say keukenkast (kitchen kast), kledingkast (clothes kast), ladekast (drawer kast), etc. Much simpler! ;-) Anyway... shame that it's too deep for that long wall. Don't you think a shelving unit on that wall would look really busy? I'm not sure, can't really visualise it. But if you like the idea, it's your home so you should go for it. The wall definitely needs something. Maybe someone else here has a great idea for it And I think that some lighter coloured cushions and/or a light coloured throw of the arm of the leather sofa will really liven it up. Even grey or beige ones (doesn't have to be orange or pink or blue or whatever), maybe a graphic pattern or a texture, will make a difference.
