any floor plan lay out design wizards out there
Comments (32)This is what I just sent as mentioned in above comments ^ I think after a lot of deliberation I am going to tone back my design quite a lot and hopefully build a glass conservatory out in the side return after doing the rest of the the renovations inside the back of the house. This is what I would like to do to begin with: With the intension of doing this after the the above is done: Im just trying to find out from a structural point of view if would I need to add a new steel RSJ in above where the current window opening is in order to put in the french windows, or bottom sliding Bi-folds in, and also find out if I have to move the boiler to make this design comply with building regs? If the answer is yes. Then I think I would bite the bullet and move the boiler and put a bigger opening in here to make something more like this: With a the possibility of adding something like this after the main works had been done: I would like the have a glass and steel conservatory sit on a steel conservatory base that is placed on concrete pads. Like I have found out can be done after coming across this website: https://www.premierlc.co.uk/conservatory-bases-compared/ What do you guys think?...See Moreany garden designers out there?
Comments (3)Gillian I agree with Peter's comments that its worth employing the services of a professionally qualified and suitably experienced garden design / landscape architect who has the correct insurances to advise and guide you, otherwise you are likely to come unstuck later on with an inexperienced person which leads to further costs. The first thing worth doing yourselves is commissioning a topographical survey for a site of this nature which a designer can use as the basis for a design. Alternatively a professional garden designer can help you with this. If designed well it can be a real asset to your house and provide a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy all year round and cater for your individual needs. A sloping site such as your could be transformed by a series of terraces to provide more practical flat areas of garden all linked by steps or similar with the terraces becoming a feature in their own right. Good luck!...See MoreAny questions with regard to loft conversions? > check out this guide

Comments (4)I can say, my DeVol kitchen (Shaker kitchen, Pantry Blue colour) is beautiful and extremely overpriced. I made the mistake of ordering it for my kitchen in the Netherlands, for which there is no authorised installer nor will the company send joiners to make sure installation goes well. Nor will they send anyone to help fix it if things go wrong. And my cabinets went pretty wrong. These are extremely fiddly cabinets, and the barrel hinges will go off kilter easily, and their own joiners know how to do it best. So now I'm stuck with wonky cabinet doors on a €30,000 kitchen. I'm very disappointed, but you won't be as long as you have them install it themselves....See MoreKate Murphy
