HiTino Felly, Marie Here. Your off to a great start - but you've made a common mistake in that you've found your inspiration for your colour palette, but your not committing to it. You need to bring the greens and blues up onto the walls and onto the floor - commit to it. You could: - add a great throw rug underneath the bed, - add big table lamp beside the bed - or better yet, a wall sconce, - drapery isn't really the best choice for this bedding - I would have brought in a bold graphic print here, in either the blue or the green - artwork can stay neutral - even do a collection of mixed metals in chrome, gold, and have fun with that - if you add too much in the blue and green it becomes boring and un-special. Choose your accessories carefully, I'd change out your drapery - go with something bolder, I'd also get a larger night stand so you could put a proper table lamp there. Good Luck!

It all comes down to budget as always. The bigger the budge the more you can do. I would be really mindful of the fact, that if you change the facade, it would be better if you could change the windows. The wood cladding I agree would look fabulous, you could have the bottom a lovely grey to tone in. However, neither will look good with bog standard white windows, as both look better with a dark grey, thinner Aluminium Frame or a Chunkier Sandy Beige Frame. When you add white windows, the effect is not quite so slick The pic above shows the white windows with the cladding and it would look a lot better with the darker, thinner frames. If you can't afford to change or colour bond the windows, then maybe go for all over colour, a dark grey would be good, and consider changing the Front door for impact. Alternatively, work towards doing the ultimate change. The vertical wood cladding, with a grey underneath and a door to match the wood. Thinner dark pewter aluminium framed windows etc. sorry about the mock up quality!

A feature wall behind the bed would look great. Wallpaper, wall mural, paint, paneling, loads of options with choices of colour pattern and texture. I’d go for a subtle wallpaper with a metallic hint to reflect the light, perhaps a faux Venetian plaster finish with peeps of metallic silver or gold or maybe a marble effect. Nice big light fitting whichever suits your taste and a simple roman blind at the window. Sit the Roman blind higher above the window so when pulled up the folds don’t interfere with the daylight. @Pam Dee . Hi Adrian . I’m just on a coffee break - but saw your post - if you have a three story building ( or more) then you need to protect your stairway so that would stop you opening into the hallway. So the only opening up part you could do is the wall between kitchen and lounge. There are designers ( like us ) who do this kind of work with clients -getting designs right to suit you .
