paint colour and ebony coloured furniture

My husband and I are fans of dark wood furniture and as such tend to pick the black brown options from ikea. We're currently trying to decide on a paint colour for our bedroom and for the living room. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts? we're considering blues such as Lulworth blue by f and b or crown period dance-hall blue, or maybe a pale purple such as Amythest starling by dulux
