Best colour for narrow hall a sticky kids lol
Comments (5)Get any colour you want in Dulux diamond eggshell. Expensive but it's scrubbable. I use it in bathrooms and multi-million pound laboratories to give you an idea of how amazingly resistant it is. P.s I have 2 children, two years old and 7 months old. My entire house is in brilliant white diamond eggshell.... Zero problems. Just wipe it off. It's expensive at approximately £85 for 5 litres but in my eyes worth it....See MoreHallway - long and narrow with loads of light - what to do?
Comments (14)Thank for all the comments. We will get the radiator cover. As for the paneling...I not sure this is in keeping with the Scandanavian theme...eventhou the master bedroom does have paneling which is very nice. We will likely get a bespoke storage unit made on the other side of the bathroom. Something a little fancier to the one already there which houses the washing machine/ dryer and laundry products. Overtime I think we will get a better feel for what works best - art, picture frames, mirrors etc... Keep the suggestions coming!!...See MoreSuggestions for narrow hallway with bike storage
Comments (2)I doubt there is any paint which will not look dirty in there after a while with the bikes, a kitchen/bathroom paint might stay whipable for a while but its going to get hammered. Tiles would be better (Or plastic tile effect boards) I agree with ED though it looks like a major fire access issue to me, could you not use some kind of ceiling storage to hang the bikes on and raise / lower them as needed?...See MoreHelp! Comments (4)It sounds like you already have some great ideas! Half height panelling works well in long hallways, and is more practical than wallpaper as paint can be cleaned or touched up if it gets brushed against. A darker carpet or runner will define the floor and add height to the space, a shade that blends with the walls will add the illusion of width. A patterned carpet will help with flow and direction, which can make it feel more lively. Oversized art is always a nice touch to a smaller space (too many or too small and it can feel cluttered)....See MoreAdam
