Bathroom design help please!! :)

Hi All,

My 2nd dilemma of today!! -- this one has more urgency as I will begin purchasing materials this week.

I am upgrading my small bathroom which is also my main bathroom :(

I have included photos of the before. What I am trying to achieve is :

1. make space feel sleek, more airy and warmer with spa feel.

2. ensure longevity of design should I be selling house again.

3. need to keep down costs.

I have done rough mock ups to scale with the finishes --- include taupe tiles (cream/ green/ brown undertones, with texture ridges on ones behind vanity), chrome taps and high gloss silver radiator, sink vanity in dark chocolate brown and bamboo blind.

Questions:

1. Do you think design works using half tile/ half painting of walls as shown in mock up? I was hoping to swop out paint colour over time if I get bored and also keep down costs.

2. Im bit worried about storage since I am leaving myself a little limited. Any suggestions without cluttering up the design? Vanity is wall hung to open up space.

3. I wanted to add something a bit quirky to the design (it feels a bit boring :) which isn't so permanent - do you think the small school house pendant over vanity works? (planning to tie in strip with accessories such as candles, towels, mats etc). If yes, does anyone in UK know where I can get such a pendant - hopefully white with black strip.??

4. Anything missing, needs amending? I have my mind more or less set on : A. vanity unit (due to size restrictions) and B. tiles (walls) but am open to any other suggestions.

Thank you all in advance, excited to hear your thoughts, and suggestions.
