Help with wall colours.

Looking for ideas for our kitchen/dining/family room. Corner coach is grey, curtains cream with a mulberry border at the top and blinds are mulberry. I'm having cushions made to match the curtains but stuck for wall colours and also whether to get a rug and coffee table?

One idea would be to keep the walls a fairly light, warm shade; something like Farrow & Ball lime white, click the link below for the full Farrow & Ball range:

A mirror and art work above the corner sofa will add interest and increase the amount of light in the room. The Eichholtz Herringbone square wall mirror adds texture as well as light into a room:

I would add more colour and pattern into the room with a rug:

Hi, I agree with PB re mirror and a glass coffee table. For a rug, i can see you like geometrics so why not something in light colours? Wayfair may be a good place to look. I would probably try some of farrow and balls red based neutrals. Dimity could work but would try a few testers in different light as it can sometimes look a little pink! Perhaps you could also add some green cushions to work with the mulberry? Can the blind be hung higher and the plant maybe moved elsewhere as it seems to be blocking the light? Well it looks like a nice bright room so I guess you have so many choices it can get overwhelming. For wallpapers I can recommend John Lewis's own especially if you don't want to spend a lot. If you like the mustard yellow (I do) there are lots of papers which could tie in to it. Would probably be too much as a solid colour wall. II'm sure others will come along with some better ideas...

Hi Coba, I like your flooring, it's beautiful! For the bedroom I would go for a pastel blue paint, it's very calm and it helps with a better nights sleep too. It would look brilliant with the dark wooden floor and it would also match your lightwood wardrobe colours. For the hallway how do you feel about a pastel mint green? It's fresh, happy and it cheers up a small functional space with not too much furniture in it. Just make sure you choose a balanced colour that isn't super bright. For the living room you could go for a neutral colour or white, depending on the style and colour of furniture you have, then you could add pops of colour with art work, fabrics and accessories. Alternatively you could opt for a light pastel salmon(ish) pink paint combined with a matching geometric wallpaper. I attached images to illustrate what I mean. I think this would complement the light grey floor quite nicely. Hope this helps, but happy to discuss further if these suggestions are far away from what you'd like :)

Hi Nicola, I might try painting the walls in the lighter grey colour or even a shade lighter than this. There are a lot of grey tones going on (with the chrome handles as well), you just might want to be careful that it dosn't feel too cold - have you considered a wood floor or LVT in wood - it might add a bit of warmth, or if you are set on tiles - maybe try a limestone style. Always best to get some samples and try alongside your kitchen doors.

I see what you mean, it is a bit bland. Your painting feels a bit too small on the chimney breast, so I'd hang that on the wall behind the TV. I think you should lose the wall lights. I think that you could paint the entire fireplace wall a nice greyish blue, maybe look at Dulux Denim Drift I'd hang a lovely round mirror on the chimney. I've put one with a wooden frame in, but it could be anything you like really. And I've also put a large canvas art piece above the dining table. I assume you've moved that against the wall because you're working from home etc. now? Otherwise I'd turn it around and centre it under the ceiling light. Are these ceiling lights your choice? Because I feel they could be updated too. Anyway... to give you a visual, I've created a bit of a messy photoshop picture

Hi I think your coffee table needs to be really simple, for example this one from Dwell Or you could go for something quite cool, like this from Loaf. Westelm have a great choice of rugs and Minnie is right, go for something light. Hope that helps and let us know what you go for.
