What can you tell me about the cabinets? Custom or semi-custom? Wood species?

These are custom cabinets. We have a lot of options at our disposal for customer cabinets for the home (kitchen, bath, closet, laundry, etc.) The designer on the project was Saghar. She can be reached at 713-787-9494 x613

I've enjoyed this in a holiday let (NorthWest Georgia, USA) as part of the very rustic charming cabin decor - the bath was a reproduction Victorian hip bath set in front of a rather large fireplace. It felt and looked wonderful. But water did splash beyond the slate tiling no matter how careful we were and our hostess told us they were seriously considering either adding a 3" lip all the way around the tiled area, or removing the bath completely. I've wondered ever since what she did in the end.

Hi Andrew Don't know if this helps or not but you can get these like really deep round/square baths, called japanese baths or something. obviously you'd have to sit rather than lie in the bath but maybe a solution? I've put some pics below

Something like this could work but it's not ideal, assuming you can tuck the pipes inside the wall without building up. Cleaning after shower will be inevitable, but a squeegee could do the trick. The bath tub is a 1500x700 - it doesnt have to be free standing though For products try victorian plumbing, good place for products and some inspiration
