Hi Brittany! So glad you're asking about this! Lighting is something so underestimated in interior design, and in particular bathrooms. I'm a bathroom designer for Bathroom Eleven so perhaps I can offer some tips! Firstly, my design colleague Johanna wrote a great blog on this on our website - https://bathroomeleven.co.uk/bathroom-lighting-how-to-get-it-right/ - so give that a little peek! Secondly, as a general rule, I always factor in two things for Bathroom Lighting - Task and Mood lighting. Ceiling LEDs give a great, bright, broad lighting cover for your bathroom meaning its perfect for practical day to day uses. However, at the end of the day, when you're wanting to relax - or for those midnight trips to the loo! - it's really nice to factor in some softer lighting. Under vanity unit LED's, soft wall lights, plinth lights, illuminating recess, or mirrors - all these things offer you that secondary lighting option that can really lift your bathroom! I bought a very similar version as in the screenshot. It was perfect for the kitchen. It was perfect for the kitchen. Cute, small, but enough size and power. It gives a nice light, not harsh, properly diffused. And I bought it really cheap. But for my loggia, that`s spacious enough. I decided to buy a lamp that doesn`t use electricity. I found one on amazon, as well as flag pole lights. I think it’s perfect cause the loggia is on the sunny side, so the lamp stores the energy and gives off a soft and pleasant lighting at night. I don't really prefer to sleep in total darkness and this kind of lighting helps me doze off. So, for those who have a balcony or loggia, I strongly advise buying these!

Having just stayed in a house with a super busy looking granite worktop you realise you cant actually see when it is properly clean after cooking. Imo go for the worktop with a more subtle vein, which will look really smart with the dark cabinets. ( Love the floor tiles! )

Hi, We would second linen shades. They are lightweight and thin, allowing a wide array of light to filter through. You could also try rattan shades these allow a large amount of light out through the gaps in the shades. Glass shades are also ideal and non of the light is filtered as it comes through the shade.
