What can I do with my front garden that won't cost the earth?
Comments (17)How about keeping the gravel as it is - it keeps the weeds down after all and is low maintenance but planting something like lavender through it - nice smelling, will soften the edges and required very little looking after except for a cutdown once a year - can't tell exact scale but 7-10 3l lavender plants planted through could make a big difference pretty quickly and inexpensively...See MoreNeighbour poisoned my garden/ dog /pond
Comments (27)Saying they don't test water for poison if the fish are showing mucus lumps they are reacting to something in the water. To empty pond and thoroughly clean. Putting some dechlorinine hoping the fish pull through. Pictures of my fish with lumps. Top of water showing signs of something in there. Can't believe there isn't support for things like this...See MoreWhat's the craziest thing a neighbour of yours has done to their home
Comments (15)And when people don’t cut grass mice like it. At my last house the next door was let and when empty they didn’t cut the grass so eventually when it did get cut mice were displaced some into mine. This house was full of crazy stuff inside that we only found out when they tried to sell it but couldn’t. And these houses sell quick usually, I sold mine the first day and completed in six weeks, and my old friend has just sold the first week. Anyway this house had put a massage parlour in the garage all kitted out properly behind from the outside looked like a normal garage door. They kitted out two bedrooms as dressing rooms and the large family bathroom with no windows as a make up room. But apparently it had substantial hooks in the ceiling that people speculated was for an adult play swing! And the large kitchen living area was redone with a massive circular kitchen that looked like a nightclub bar. But at least it looked and still looks normal from the outside....See Morefront garden fence from pallet wood! Is this acceptable?
Comments (4)Sounds good. Be aware that watering the plants every day can become a chore. I was thinking a picket fence can look great, especially if it’s painted grey to keep it modern and not twee. They’re also quite cheap at about £25 per 6’ panel (3’ high). How about making one pallet up, painting it and then planting it up and if you like it then give it a go with creating a fence. Below is a picket fence painted grey and pallets used as fencing. There are loads of examples on Pinterest. PICKET FENCE FENCING MADE OUT OF PALLETD...See Morerach1922
