Love this style of door with perhaps your African Mahogany-

I have been looking at your photos here on Houzz but have also been checking out your website. Looking for a double entry door in something similar to this style but perhaps in your African Mahogany or a wood species with more of a modern/rustic look. Just curious do you only send out unfinished doors or do you also stain and finish the doors ready for installation when sent? What would the approx. cost be on a double entry door this style, 60" x 80" total width using the African Mahogany, stained and finished ready to install?

I apologize for not answering your questions related to finishing.

The door unit would arrive hand-sanded ready for finishing (the finish of your choice).

We are not set-up for full finishing at this time, but do provide detailed instructions on how to properly finish your doors, and also advise on using SIKKENS as the finishing agent. This is an exceptional exterior Door and Window product.

Thanks so much everyone - this has been great. Sorry for the lack of response - been flat out!!!! It must be hard for you American guys to work on such old English designs.... The ideas have gradually culminated into what really would look good on the house. Ourfarmhouse - these are absolutely great ideas, and thanks Everything Beautiful for getting the jist and putting the ideas onto the house image - nothing like seeing an actual design on your own home. We've got an architech working on it, and he's keen on the iron-wrought idea... but we're not sure. Basically toss-up with this and Everything Beautiful's design (2 above). Going with a four-pannel door, but would like to incorporate some glass somewhere! Possibly a panel above with the house name engraved on it?? Victoria - absolutely right...! We don't need to sit outside with the weather.......... say no more! Just wanting something to cover yourself while you're unlocking the door. We've also done a tour of the local areas, and found a couple of porches - amazing what you find right on your doorstep! Will attach pics shortly...

Thank you all for your input. I need to perfect the art of closing one eye to block out other colours! I was not good at this! I think you need bigger sample cards than I used. I couldn't paint on the wall as there's currently wallpaper there. My local F&B stockist suggested Shaded White which is a nice, "safe" neutral I think and as the room is quite dark, it seems to work better than the greyer shades I was trying. I guess sometimes what you want is different from what will actually work best and Shaded White seems a good compromise. I'm delighted to have got input from you and I'll post some pictures later of items I'm considering using in the room in the hope of some more advice.

We are having ours replaced next Monday. Like you I agonised for ages as I wanted something a bit more special. I found Cerberus it at, a lovely family owned company with amazing products. Not cheap, but their doors are beautifully crafted . If you could visit the showroom do it, the website pictures do not show the actual quality and beauty. I'm with Carolina. The traditional door. The modern door seems to have no relation to the your house's style whatsoever, looks out of place and doesn't add anything other than mismatch. But hey, it's YOUR house ... :)
