TV, couches, bay window and fireplace. How can they all fit nicely?
Comments (6)Rad in the bay to knock off the chill. Put a nice cover on it. Perhaps a built-in settee like one of these that are vented for the rad. If not seating, then put a nice game table and chairs there for entertaining and family time. One sofa and two chairs (all small apartment size) will be most flexible for arranging and rearranging. Comments (4)Hi - we have been installing TVs above fireplaces for the past 15 years. Our recommendation is that you should ideally leave a 100cm clearance from the top of the fireplace to the bottom of the TV and fit a protuding mantelpiece to deflect/minimise the effect of heat thermals. If the wall is thin you will need to add heat insulation behind the TV. The target UK price for the slim mount unit will be £599 including the ability to swivel it left and right (see photos attached). This solution is also ideal for moving the TV away from toddlers when not in use! Comments (31)The picture shown shows us a example of a badly installed TV where no thought has been put into the interior design of that element in the room. I can almost guarantee a Technology Advisor was not involved in the project as they would have found a better solution for the finish. Sometime the area above the fireplace is the only space in the room the TV can go, and when its property thought out it can work....See MoreTV ABOVE A FIREPLACE
Comments (4)We had our TV above the fireplace. Real fire with logs and coal. The TV never got hot however, it was too high for eye level. It was ok for us but maybe bear in mind you can have eye and neck problems if its too high...See Morebingonameo
