Colour ideas for kitchen walls
Comments (6)Hi Dee. What are dimensions of the dining area? It does look a little tricky. I assume the doors into the living room open inwards so maybe a round table would suit? Try cutting out paper templates and putting them on the floor to see how they feel...See MoreIs it a good idea to have roman blinds or fabric blinds in a kitchen?
Comments (18)Hi there, As others have said, it much depends how you use your kitchen. Lots of our customers do choose Roman blinds for their kitchens as they like the softness they provide - but you must think about things like splashes from sinks as well as cooking smells. One thing others have suggested is Wooden blinds. Fauxwood blinds are the perfect solution for kitchens - they look like wood, but they won't warp in steamy conditions and are really easy to wipe clean. Comments (5)Personally I'd go for a pale grey - somewhere between the colours of your cabinets. You don't want anything too creamy paint-wise or the white cabinets won't look right, F&B Skylight or Dulux Smooth Flint are both nice light greys that would work throughout. It's best to get samples and paint them on big sheets of card (NOT the wall!) and look at them at different times of day to see how the colour changes depending on the light. Hope this helps!...See MoreRoman Blind fabric design ideas

As you say, you can pick up another accent colour that goes with those two, that might warm it up. Turquoise, green, yellow, orange may well all warm, whilst will tone well with white, grey and the black of the granite. I would not put a blind over the French door. If anything, have one door curtain that you pull or not as you please, a blind would look out of place. I might consider a different choice to Roman Blind also, your windows are quite short, and, Roman blinds take up a lot of height even when not let down. So, you may lose light from the kitchen....See MoreLiz Bton
