What colour should I paint walls to match Howdens Cashmere Kitchen?
Comments (46)Cashmere popular. Mine being fitted this week. I have chosen real wood worktop and upstand. Plain Glass splashback behind hob and oxide emerald green floor tiles. Just for something different. Walks mmm not sure……something muted. Small kitchen but bright! Ideas… don’t hate me re floor 😳...See MorePaint underside of beam white to match ceiling? Comments (16)Hi Em, Thought I would add our 2 cents and see if its any help. My first thought for your walls is a friendly light grey like Dulux "Silver Ash" or "Lexicon Half". It's warmer than white, but still bright and modern, making it a perfect companion for your kitchen colors. If you fancy something a bit different, how about a soft greige. Dulux "Dieskau" or Taubmans "Ashen Mist" would give your space an inviting warmth, tying beautifully with your off-white worktop and oak floor. Before you make a final decision, paint a small patch on the wall and check it at different times of day, as the lighting can change how a color looks. Comments (10)As usually I agree with pretty much everything Colourhappy says. For me the green vanity is too trendy and the taupe choice is more timeless, I also think that a dark colour can draw your eye….. however I disagree that’s a bad thing- in fact I think a dark colour frames everything else in the room and actually not much will be showing since much of the wall will be covered with the vanity, WC, towel rail, mirror. And having had a room that relies on electric lighting I would say the absence of a window makes no difference to your colour choice in fact in some ways it’s easier because the light is consistent. And in my littlest room I have previously painted the walls and ceiling in the same dark colour and found it makes the room feel bigger because you don’t see the corners....See MoreMichelle
