Hello Emmeline, Gosh yes I do love a scented candle... I have a few absolute loves though.. Dyptique's- Baies, John Galliano, Opopanax and Pomander.. Byredo- Bibliotheque Tocca- Havana or Stella (also the latter as a laundry delicate hand wash - hard to find in uk but lovely) Neom -Sicilian Lemon and fresh Basil. Also as they seem to be somewhat related... Reed sticks.. Dr Vranjes- Rosso Nobile. : ))

Candles seem to have a calming effect on people. I prefer unscented candles, as scented candles can overwhelm a small space, especially a table designated for eating. But even in the daylight, candles emit something that says "this is a very special moment, relax and enjoy yourself!"

IKEA is great for anyone starting out, furnishing a rental property or just not sure what they want. It may not be the best "last for ever" quality, but it does the job, looks reasonable and can be mixed with other pieces over time. It tends to be good quality for the money. Tastes change over time and while my parents invested as much as they could in the furniture they bought, as they wanted it to last a lifetime, I prefer to think I will be able to change and update easily in the future. I spent a fortune on some furniture a few years ago, that I would love to replace now. We didn´t have a nearby IKEA at the time unfortunately.

Having read more comments on this subject, I'd like to say again that we do offer both scented and unscented candles as it is definitely a personal choice. Our customers say our fragrances are lovely and subtle and because we use a rapeseed wax on our smaller candles, this has a lovely gentle smell of its own.
