blackout curtains or blinds???

Can anyone recommend a supplier for good-quality blackout curtains around London? Also toying with the idea of blinds instead, since I think it looks more modern but curtains may just be easier/cheaper. Need the whole lot including railings. Is it possible to get overlapping railings so no light gets through? Window space is 1350 x 1350 for 2 bedrooms. Eventually we will also need shutters for living room and upstairs bay windows too. I prefer the wooden hinged ones. Any suggestions most welcomed, thanks all.

For my first roman blind I used a roman blind kit from Dunelm, worked out great. I then used those instructions to go on to make a further 12 (never buy a house with 5 sided bay windows!) and purchased the bits needed from terrysfabrics as mentioned by Catherine Byrne. They are really straightforward. The key is to take your time with your measurements/calculations and with ensuring your edges and rod pockets are straight.
