What do you NOT want for Christmas?
Comments (4)Please Father Christmas do not get me any USB novelty type devices for my laptop such as a desk Hoover or fan, it will not get used! Nor will any desk top novelty toy for that matter!...See MoreTopic on Houzz you want to read more about?
Comments (29)I've just thought of a new one. There are quite a few more feminine oriented topics and articles in here which is totally understandable given the demographics and followers, but I think it would be nice to have an article on styling a bachelor pad for us male fans of design. Not necessarily cliche ones with interiors showing pool tables, photos of cars and gadgets as not all men are gadget obsessed, just a good quality article showing more masculine colour themes, textures etc. I'm always inspired by interiors by Tom Ford, Natuzzi and Bo Concept as good examples....See MorePOLL: Do you use the Houzz desktop or app more?
Comments (38)I use both. That said the desktop site is far far superior to the iphone app. I preferred the app before the update, as cavgirl said, going straight to 'latest' was much better. The app also regularly crashes and if you accidentally swipe left or right when reading an article it'll go to a previous page with no easy way to get back to what I was reading. If I wanted it to do that I'd just press the back button! One final irritant is that when using the app to write a comment on a discussion the text box takes up the whole screen so you can't swipe up again to read earlier comments/names which you want to make reference too. I did suggest some time ago I would personally love to be able to organise the discussions section by chronological order rather than just recent activity. It feels like some things just get lost because no-one comments for a day so it doesnt get seen for long. Then other times someone comments on an ancient discussion without realising and its top of the pile! Anyway, I do feel I should say I love the unique forum here and you guys do a great job! Sorry about the rant :)....See MorePOLL: Do you read your child a bedtime story?
Comments (15)I still read to my 11 yr old son most nights, he has dyslexia and so I want to encourage him to enjoy stories. It's fantastic for his imagination and improves this vocabulary and understanding no end. These are so many fantastic children's books out there to be discovered and its such a special time together and we both love it. They are young for such a short amount of time I cannot imagine why parents don't make the time....See MoreOnePlan
