What are your thoughts on colourful radiators?
Comments (36)We love using coloured radiators in our bathroom design. It is so easy to do now as the quality manufacturers such as Bisque, Zehnder and SBH stock the popular colours such as anthracites, steel and beiges. Even the bespoke colours only take a few weeks to be delivered. It is such a simple way to help give a bathroom the WOW factor....See MoreRadiators in 1930s uk house
Comments (8)I love them. If budget only allows for some now then go for it and focus on the main living rooms. I put cast iron rads in my basement conversion last year but the main part of the house just has the "modern" ones other than the bathroom which we didn't do! It's only the same as when fireplaces are stripped from bedrooms but tend to remain in living areas. Do also think though about what you like and improvements for resale ,My brother had a victorian house and installed cast iron throughout spending a fortune but didn't really make any money back....See MorePearl mouse grey cast iron radiator in lounge - what wall colour?
Comments (2)Go and get some paint colour cards, bring them home and place near the rads, narrow it down to a couple and then purchase tester pots. Paint pieces of A4 paper and see what it looks like on a bigger area, then buy the paint. It's not practical to suggest paint or colours as everybody's rooms have different light, therefore, the same paint won't look identical one wall to another. Dulux for instance must have at least 3 or 4 dozen shades of off white and grey that would work. Greys or Blues are your best bet for a calm atmosphere. You can go light or dark depending on your preference - Personally, I love some of the dark slate blues around at the moment, coupled with light furniture....See More1885 property - need quality refurbished original cast iron radiators
Comments (4)Hi Wendy, we stock a large range of cast-iron styled radiators that could perhaps help you out. I understand that the original cast iron radiators are quite expensive, but the newer steel designs offer great outputs, are relatively inexpensive in comparison and look the part too. They may not be the ideal 'original' style, but they will help you to keep costs down upstairs and still provide adequate warmth and period styling, plus, we offer extensive guarantees on all of our products. Check them out here and see what we could do to help... http://www.bestheating.com/radiators/traditional-column-radiators.html Good luck with the project. John...See MoreLauren Heath
