If anyone can please point me in the direction of suppliers/shops selling good quality traditional/shaker style kitchens in London (South London even better) that would be great. Thank you.

We aren't based in London but can show and send some samples if required.

We would also visit to confirm dimensions before order.

We work with a local timber company and can supply most woods in bespoke finishes and accessories. We can also supply any RAL or Farrow & Ball colours.

Each door is completely unique- plus it's not at London pricing!!

I saw this kitchen in a magazine recently and finally found it here on Houzz. Love the bold colors and open airy feel to the whole house- this would be my dream kitchen (house) if I had the $$$ to redesign or build from scratch. There are more pictures of the actual the kitchen in the magazine...but not on here sadly.

Having just gone through exactly the same process and spent literally hours trawling the internet, visiting showrooms and speaking to companies on the phone we ended up ordering with Unfitted from Moreton-in -Marsh. Other companies we considered were deVOL (rather expensive!) and Main kitchen company in York. Unfitted pricing is very comparable to Evie Willow and a bit more than Shaker Kitchen Company, however they have a showroom you can go and view the cabinetry. They are also super, super helpful, nothing is too much trouble and they will come out for free and help with designs, ideas etc. Ask for Mark the owner.

Thanks guys - we did a lot of experimenting and testing on some old floorboards before deciding on this stuff. The Osmo oil gives a deep and rich finish on old pitch pine that looks very different to varnish - deeper and with more of the grain being brought out. It's more like a beeswax finish from olden times, without the backbreaking labour and maintenance. Interestingly on the new boards (in the top bedroom), it makes far less difference: the new pine just looks yellow and shiny, much as it would if varnished. But the oil should be tougher and lower maintenance. We decided to restore these floors rather than replace as they were actually in remarkably good condition: this house has never had fitted carpets fitted, nor central heating fitted until 2014, and when it was installed it was installed with regard to keeping the floors intact (many systems installed in past decades saw the boards sawn up and hacked about). I wanted look that is obviously original, and can't be mistaken for engineered wood. I did think about a limewashed finish, but bottled it at the last minute and went totally traditional, as I thought less risk of a finish done to a trend that would be hard to reverse.

Unless this flat is to be a family home - or you're planning to throw lavish dinner parties, I would seriously consider how much storage you actually need, and perhaps start from what you need, rather than how much you can fit in. The ideas of a u shaped kitchen and a sliding door to the living room I think will optimise your space, and I'm thinking a sideboard in the living room would store your table crockery and cutlery, again reducing what needs to be in the kitchen. Looks like a lovely flat - hope you really enjoy doing it. A last minute thought - you can often get ex display units from top kitchen shops very reasonably priced.
