How often do you have a takeaway?
Comments (13)My wife loves cooking and is a fabulous cook so I'm lucky, she can cook any meals. Previous experiences mean we never order in and because we live out in the sticks I'd doubt anyone would deliver this far out....See MorePOLL: How often do you cook at home?
Comments (24)Cook most days - like others above, well into slow cooker season now and always have it bubbling right to the top so that I can decant into portions and freeze for later on. Have lots of crumbles in the freezer - love a blackberry and apple crumble in the middle of winter and remembering the lovely sunny days in late summer when we went out blackberrying! Favourite cake at the moment to cook is lemon drizzle and have had a run on cooking roasted vegetables and roast lamb for guests recently - found a lovely recipe of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, chopped rosemary and thyme for the vegetables to be marinaded in beforehand! Yummy!...See MorePOLL: How often do you replace your sponge?
Comments (12)Better watch your sink if you doing so, the bleach can seep into the bottom and cause tiny holes which it did with mine after a few months, so I always boil mine in a saucpan of a little washing powder....See MoreHow often do you have dessert?
Comments (6)I don't have a sweet tooth at all, never have. My big weakness is vintage cheddar cheese. Apparently as a toddler I would be happy roaming around with a stick of cheese in my hand and I vividly remember sweets that I was given as a child accumulating on 'my' shelf in the sideboard until they were passed over to my brothers to reduce the stockpile. I am now 60 and still happy to forego the sweet stuff. Whenever I am persuaded to try some dessert or cake I invariably regret it after one or two mouthfuls. My standby for visitors is a lemon meringue pie with a ginger biscuit base and made with twice the lemons, half the sugar of a standard recipe. This seems to go down well, is a family favourite and is something that I can join in eating!...See MoreEmmanuelle
