What tiles are they, where did you get them? Thanks!!

Hi Bill, these are basalt tiles, we specified them for the project and sourced them directly from the supplier. This was almost ten years ago now so I am afraid I don't have the information directly to hand. Good luck with your project, I am sure that you or your architect/designer can find something similar by searching using 'basalt strips' as your search input. Slate strips from Mandarin Stone could be considered as an alternative; though do your research regarding substrate, adhesive, grout etc.

Hi the bathroom is taking shape, we have a working shower cubicle and the walls/floor are nearly tiled. However, when knocking down walls to create 2 bedrooms the builder masking taped the doors and upon removal has peeled off the gloss in sections. He is taking no responsibility because he said the decorator used one coat Dulux without scoring the doors. Do you agree he is not responsible? We had not planned to paint these doors. Thanks.

Hi there, These look like porcelain tiles. We have a great range which you can see on our website www.cliftonstone.co.uk. Our 'Positano' has a similar look and comes in 600 x 600 and 600 x 300 format. There is also 'Modena Grey Satin' and 'Modena Gunpowder Satin' which come in the same sizes and have a more urban, concrete look. If you would like any further help, feel free to give us a call. Original Style have some beautiful things and you could do well to look there. I don’t work for them and have no connections to them but I’ve found them immensely helpful lately (I live within reasonable distance from their Bournemouth store). My first encounter with them was about 20 years ago. (And ask for a discount…you never know! )
