What colour??

Hi

So I've recently purchased this sofa. Its upholstery not exactly to my taste as would have done something a bit dramatic, but it's still lovely and comfortable. I really don't like the colour of the wood (not an Anne Sloan person really) and looking at colour options. Had even thought about sanding back and waxing but that's just so much effort and I don't want to destroy the fabric (good quality and done very well).

What do you think. I'm going towards the darker of the colours.

I'd go for the dark colour (can't tell if it's grey or blue on my screen). It would really work with the fabric and cushions imo

I quite like the dark colour with the fabric. Think that the cushions don't really go with the sofa. A bit too plump and stark in pattern and shape, I feel.

Zarahome has some lovely cushion covers, like this one for example.

Thanks Jonathan. I’m not totally adverse to the yellow and perhaps your right less yellowish window might help crisp up. I like the warmth statement and blending with greenery that current colour has but it needs painting badly and so having moved in last year feel need to make a change and loose yellow. I suppose as it is tired and everything in the house is either yellow or green (avocado) and tired!!! I’ll look at greys with off white windows as you suggest......

I would class those cushions as more of a rust as opposed to orange. Could you swap them for a definite bright orange and also have curtains that have a large proportion of orange in? Walnut has undertones of orange so l think it would work well together.

The cushions are something that I just put there in regards to the colour. But agree something daintier would be better placed.

The darker colour is Mylands Blueprint.
