Mustard wallpaper ideas

Hi, I'm looking to decorate my living room to a mustard wallpaper as a feature wall. My furniture is mainly all black e.g. sofa, dining table and chairs. Do you think the furniture will fit in with the mustard wallpaper. If not what colour furniture should I go for.

I think it would be very good, just do one feature wall. Get the wall art and accent pillows in mustard colour.

Thank you so much for your reply. What colour rug would you suggest and what accent colour? Grey? Teal?

A belated THANK YOU to everyone who commented. This is the final result. We're super happy with it. Room A north facing "through-lounge" in a new build, 3 bed semi detached house Paint Walls: Purbeck Stone, Farrow & Ball Ceiling: Strong White, Farrow & Ball By the way, the room isn't as long and skinny as it looks in the photos. Painting it all one colour actually made it feel much, much larger. We were really impressed with the quality of advice the F&B staff gave us in regards to colour. We loved Purbeck Stone from the minute we saw it, and being brave really paid off.

Louisep2012, I have something very similar in my dinning room - it has been up for six years and I love it. The ferns are slightly metallic and catch the light. I had some artistic notion about bringing the garden indoors as that room has French doors out onto a patio. I haven't kept all the room to chrome/silver though and have a mix of silver and golds in there, see pics below.....have never got tired of it!

The mustard option gives that extra pizazz, especially in quite a neutrally furnished room. The taupe is great too, both colours complement a beautiful design.

Hubby doesn't like the patterned one Kerry. His preference is to have the chimney breast in red and the rest in something plain like below for the alcoves and other walls. Would welcome your thoughts.Also we are planning an electric insert fire on chimney breast and have posted a separate question on that. Do you think we doing the right thing as we would need to widen the hole where it slots in ? Just thought it would add to modernisation of room. Suite and carpet would have to wait for another year . Thanks.
