We have a flat in a 60's apartment block with concrete floors, and we're having lots of issues with impact noise coming from the flat above.
Whilst we can't do much about that directly at the moment, we would like to ensure any future tenants of ours don't cause similar issues for our neighbours below.
Ideally we would like some form of engineered wood / laminate surface above the sound proofing, but we'd like to know whether anyone had any experience in having done this.
I guess we'd mainly like to know whether investing in this type of soundproofing against impact noise is likely to have the desired effect, or whether the sound reduction isn't worth the £ outlay.
