What would you put with a choc brown leather sofa?

So we need a new 2 seater sofa to go with our choc brown leather 3 seater & armchair - we currently have a taupe fabric one and are thinking of either matching with a new leather choc brown or getting a creamy leather - friends are saying u can't put leather n leather together got to be a fabric??

I don't see why you couldn't put a different coloured leather with the original one. It'd be much more difficult to match the existing finish. Even if you got another one from the same company the old one would have worn so they'd look different. I'd go for the creamy leather option, or a natural looking colour of fabric but lighter fabrics are more difficult to keep clean of course.

Although we've gone for fabric in this poll, we know that for most of us this very much comes down to a choice between comfort and aesthetic. Leather is a bit more of an acquired taste when you're talking about comfort, whereas the right fabric sofa comes with comfort built in. If like us you love great textile design, a sumptuous fabric sofa is definitely an opportunity to explore the work of some well established textile designers like Margo Selby or new breed upholstery & textile design houses like Native Flok in Edinburgh. Okay, so you may just be looking for a lovely, comfortable sofa you can curl up on and watch Strictly, but even then, if approached with a sense of adventure, navigating the brave new world of textile design can still be very exciting stuff!

Hi, I've combined black, various shades of grey, brown, off white, dark cream in my small sitting room because my sofa and armchairs are 'of an age'! I do have some expensive 'bling bits' in there, including a crystal encrusted stags head and lots of quite different cushions, 2 are Cygnus Papilios, so very striking. Short of putting the TV in a cupboard, just go with it and add lots of colour in your accessories. If anyone comes to your crib and comments on a brown sofa with a black TV I know what I'd show them - the front door.

I really can't make out any colour in the pic, except maybe brown sofa. everything else looks white/cream? So when you say your keeping the colour scheme, I don't know what that means? Are you looking for a colour to paint the walls?
