Walk in shower size

I am considering putting a walk in shower in my bathroom and am looking advice on the size requirements. the tray would run length ways along the back wall which is 207cm. a bath will run have a short end also along this wall leaving a total 137cm for the shower. We were going to use a 90cm glass panel with the entry of 47cm beside the tiled in shower. the total shower tray will be 137cm by 80cm. is this enough room for the shower. from peoples experience could there be a large amount of splash over the floor or bath. I have included and image which hopefully helps explain. thanks for any advice

Look up ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements. This will give you some ideas for your own measurements.

I can't really see what you mean but if you're talking about having an open shower with just a panel rather than a closing door, then yes, I imagine you will get water splashing onto the floor / bath.

I would suggest that clients leave at least 500mm to walk through, any less and it becomes an unacceptable squeeze in my opinion. Have you considered a hinged return panel to deflect some of the spray?

I am planning to renovate our main bathroom. It's 2*2m. I really hate bath-shower and pipe boxed in behind the toilet. So I want to have separate bath and walk-in shower. Svp is 310(from toilet side)*360(from window side)mm and my husband is going to reduce the size of the box. We have 1 bathroom, 1 en-suit and 1 WC and this is the only one bathtub in this house. We have a space of 130cm with a 80cm fixed glass screen and a 30cm folding panel, this arrangement works well with no splashing outside the shower area. However, the space remaining to get in and out of the shower is a little tight so firstly check if this would be OK for you.

Where is the wc? Assuming there is room with a wc next door could you knock them together to make a space that is easier to fit?

the toilet is on the wall above the bath with the door in the top right corner. We are limited on where we can put the shower due to windows on the wall to the left.

Thanks WestWest it is good to here that there is limited splashing with the 30cm folding panel. i thin with adjustment in the main panel the opening into the shower will be 50cm which is tight as you say but is hopefully manageable.
