Free standing baths are only suitable for larger rooms where you have the ability to position the bath with free access all the way round, I regularly remove them from smaller bathrooms when doing re-fits, people like the aesthetics of the free standing bath and plough ahead and install them against a wall, the result is a disgusting accumulation of dust, fluff, pubic hair etc, this will happen quite quickly and you will regret having gone down this route. The concept of having the bath with no curtain is interesting though, in a bathroom around 2.1m square, most of the bathroom will be effected by splashing, the room will need a wet room floor former, and will require that the whole room is tanked prior to tiling, have a look at. (http://www.wetroominnovations.com) I usually use their Maxus formers and Purus gully traps. you can indeed get a flexible waste connection, have a look at McAlpine "Flexcon" range, these are available through any reputable merchants, these are quite substantial and would stand up to semi regular movement, if your free standing bath is an acrylic bath it won't be too heavy, so moving it would be quite straight forward, but I would suggest having small felt pads on the feet to protect the tiled surface, also from a drying point of view, Karcher have a very good little gadget for cleaning windows, which vacuums up the water, I often mention it to clients and any who have bought one have been delighted at how easy it is to use, it will leave the floor almost dry once you have used it, one note of caution would be your choice of floor tile, you will need a porcelain tile that has an R rating, this is a slip resistant rating and would be most advised. another note of caution, because the splashing will not be controlled, any vanity or wood based furniture will deteriorate. It could be that the question is too wide- do you need help with layouts in which case post a floor plan, if you don't know what to mix with the tiles then show us the stone, if you can't find a vanity that fits then please give more detail. A much more functional layout can be achieved in the existing room by flipping the existing hob and fridge freezer. It looks like you are currently losing a good 30cm or so of potential counter and cabinetry space next to the doorway, and it would give you a longer counter run between sink and hob. I would also add a long bank of shallow low cabinetry alongside the wall between the 2 doorways, which would give you quite a lot of additional storage space without interfering with the walkway or sight lines. Plus the narrow ledge there could help keep clutter off your work surfaces. In terms of dining space, you could lose your unloved peninsula and then add a small table and chairs. You would have to squeeze in the 60cm oven into the main work area, but 30cm would be gained by the fridge move, and another 20cm could be gained by swapping to a 60cm sink cabinet. (I assume it’s 80cm right now.).

Thank you all so much.  We have had months and months of conversation and research on this issue and I'm just so tired of it.  Now we've paid the deposit for the kitchen and the builder is booked for the extension work to start we're feeling the pressure in terms of making decisions.  You've all helped to encourage me to reconsider all options again with fresh eyes (we put the whole thing on hold for a coupld of months as we're unable to make a decision).  The round chimney is my preference of the two and I prefer it to any other chimney style extractor.  My overall preference would be a flush ceiling extractor but this is ultimately down to what the builder says and how this could fit alongside the beam.  A venting hob is a compromise for us, which I'm sure we'd get used to very quickly as you always do once things are done.  We have already designed the kitchen layout and planned where everything will go so it will take some thinking to lose the drawer/cupboard below the hob.  It's exhausting going over and over the same pert of the project and never quite finding a conclusion we're happy with.  But if certainly helps to have all your friendly people to talk it through with.
