Grange Renovation

Hi all

Where do I start in renovation? I want to extend the back of the house, knock down wall between current kitchen and back room (3 bed terraced) and install new kitchen. Also the back garden shed needs work (removal or encapsulation of asbestos roof) renovate to make storage and work space and add decking with pergola in front. I also want a loft conversion. Would you advise finding one contractor to do the lot or separate the work? All advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Amina

Specialists asbestos removers need to be booked - possibly a specialist loft conversion company too . Then probably a different bunch of builders to knock through and make good your kitchen Reno - you may need a Structural Engineer to work out support if wall is load bearing - also work on a fab kitchen design that works for you - either with a designer linked to a shop or an independent one ( like us) who don’t sell product - so you can shop around with one plan ... then workout when and which order you’d prefer it all to be done - lots of people start at the top of a building and work their way down ! Allow some time off between so you can recharge your batteries !!
    Have fun !
Oh -remember most good trades are booked up some time ahead !!!

First make sure you get some advice from architect or interior architect, as relying on builders "ideas" might come very costly for you.
