Secondly, you could take advantage of the space above the radiator and either enlarge the window sill or put a shelf on top. If you are crafty, you could do a wall mounted type table, so you can leave it down when not in use. A couple of easy solutions would be to buy a curtain rail and use it to hang clothes on it. Or buy funky hooks. Or make a clothes hook that's attractive and practical. Lastly, walls above the bed can take a few shelves. You can go simple or funky, but it's a space you could easily utilise. In regard to the walls colour, I'd either go all very light (white or off white) and then have the headboards, shelves, etc. in bold colours. Or you could go one strong colour all around (including ceiling) and keep the rest white or light. Good luck!

so in effect, you will be building out the bathroom to that point with a doorway onto the terrace? And you will have a wall that faces outwards measuring 2.35cm. You could put your chairs facing outwards then (and have a longer lounge/settee) for example: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S29893759/ This will give you seating and then you can add an occasional table but it is better for lounging. For a screen, there are a number of solutions: but depending on your height, perhaps a windproof solution might work well.

so after many months it's done, thanks to all that posted here, you help made me think about things like the necessity for a proper dining table. the room has turned out great, I've yet to used the dining table as it was literally finished on Saturday. Hi Jen. They may be ok you know. I thought I may have some of my sons hair stuff to clean off which is normally flicked around the bathroom but I don't. However the woven seat is made up of strands like a braided shoe lace but firmer if you see what I mean. Not the most hygienic way of cleaning but I think any food would just pick off with a fingernail or something more appropriate :) The seat is also really firm, I thought there may be an issue if kids don't sit on their bums but I think it would be ok
