Best 2 grays farrow and ball
Comments (20)Dimity is a lovely warm white, or Tallow. Both would go well with Archive or Joa's White. They are more pinky-yellow in tone, rather than yellowy-creamy. Have you tried writing to F & B and asking for their opinion? I wanted to know what to put with Hague Blue, and they suggested some colours I hadn't considered, but which are actually spot on!...See MorePaint recommendations for built in wardrobe? Comments (9)Hey Jen, I'm still paralysed by indecision on the blinds/curtain front! Making do with the white roller blinds for now - but as the rest of the room comes together they look more and more shabby :(. Managed to choose a rug and some prints for above the bed frame so I'm making progress at least. Will post an update when the wardrobes are finished. If you're anywhere near London I'll let you know the company I'm using if they prove to be good. I think price-wise its reasonable for the slightly complicated design (having to work around an awkward narrow chimney). I've heard mixed things about the F&B paints - most of the negatives from decorators I've read has been about the wall paints rather than the eggshell designed for woodwork. It's too expensive for me to indulge most of the time but on a comparatively small area like this I think its probably worth splashing out. I've heard good things about Little Greene too and there's a shop pretty close to the F&B one on Marylebone High St so will look at both....See MoreFarrow and Ball Railings....
Comments (15)Good luck i'm sure whatever you chose will look lovely. To be honest with farrow and ball colours, in my experience, you're best to just go for a colour you like as opposed to trying to find a particular colour. In that they change colour at different times of day and in different lights - it's part of what makes them so beautiful but the problem with that is if you are trying to find a particular colour for all of the time if that makes sense? Without meaning to bore you senseless with downpipe, sometimes it looks more grey, other times more blue, then sometimes even green at times. I like this about it but can imagine it may drive some people mad. Pop your sample in you kitchen and look at it at different times. Hopefully you'll like all the variations and will be on to a winner :)...See MoreFarrow and Ball Greige (ish?) Shortlist Help
Comments (12)Yep there is. Little Greene have just bought out a new colour card and small brochure called Stone. This is because (bear with me on this), I'm not a slave to fashion. quite the opposite, but I predict that in a couple of years time, we will look back on the battleship grey phase in the same way we look back on the avocado bathroom suite phase. Greys are beautiful if they are nuanced and have a tinge of colour, but grey all over just because it's fashionable is not a good fit for many interiors, particularly light starved ones. The new range for Little Greene is brilliant because it appears to present them in terms of perceived temperature first. It suggests a colour, then gives related whites, neutrals, coordinating and contrasting colours. In terms of 'whites' I would never use pure white on a trim or skirting, rather I would use a related white. For example, for a pinky hued taupe colour, such as Oxford Stone, which can look warm and slightly pink, a pure white would look cold next to it, but a related white would look harmonious. If everything is painted in related colours then it can look like a 'White' room on a sunny afternoon, if that makes sense. My personal preference for neutrals is red based ones because I find yellow based ones can look a bit dirty in light starved spaces, and can look a bit bleak with LED lights which do no favours fo any colours. Hope this has not made things worse....See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
