A colour contrast for my bathroom
I only have one short expanse of wall untiled and dont love the tile choice (but cannot justify changing the whole lot) I just feel it needs an injection of colour on this wall. Ii is currently F&B Charlottes Lock which I'm not loving. (Ceilings are White Tie which I'm happy woth, alrthough I should get the door done as well I've noticed!).
Can anyone suggest a colour which will make my love the room a bit more?

5 years agolast modified: 5 years agoI agree with Carolina, I'd go neutral and continue with White Tie. A piece of artwork above the toilet bringing in an accent colour or a couple of shelves with some accent colour accessories/plants would be nice too.

Comments (7)My personal preference is only to tile the necessary areas in a bathroom especially in the UK, a totally tiled bathroom will feel much colder and harder. It's also possible to wallpaper in a bathroom as long as the ventilation is good and you coat the wallpaper in a wallpaper matt varnish, 4 coats rolled on will protect it (see pic.). Comments (3)I think it might be good to put a mirror to fit the wall above the bath (above the tiles on the sort of semi triangular wall on the long side of bath). This would bounce light around the room and well positioned to check appearance when you are stood at sink. Then the rest of wall I'd go for a pale grey or just white. Comments (10)Hi Sam! We have fitted flush plates on textured tiles before. The issue mentioned is basically that, as it isn't flat, there would be small gaps around the flush plate where it doesn't sit flush on the tile. However, it's not really a 'wet' area so doesn't need to be completely sealed. It's not in a shower or a wet room, for example. Every fitter has their own opinion though, I just know I haven't let it influence my designs too much and we design with as much practicality as we do aesthetics - we want our clients to love using their bathroom! 3 years agoGoing through my old posts is interesting....I STILL havent done anything with the bathroom colour above, despite disliking the orange intesnely. I've just had the family bathroom done in enchyra blue (pic below) and love it, so not keen to have it in the 'brown' bathroom. My husband not keen on yellow so I need a rethink.
Any other suggestions please?
