I think first people have a look they are trying to achieve, a budget that they hope to stick to and then they want to know that the installation isn’t going to be too disruptive, the finish is going to be good and they are not going to have problems in years to come.
Have a budget in mind, ask about warranties on products and fitting and check reviews, it's always nice to read good reviews abut your fitter or company you're buying the goods from.
Your budget is first. and most important. I have done the source your own products and them employ a fitter. This was ok and the cheapest option. When it came time to refurbish this bathroom 10 years later, I gave a local bathroom company my budget and they have done an amazing job. Unless you have another bathroom to use , I would suggest going on holiday for a week while it is being done!
I agree with all of the others, definitely the budget first! Do not only go for a product because it is cheaper but also make sure it will match your layout. Think ahead, and choose the right colour match too. Of course, we could give you many pieces of advice, but the final decision is on you.
