Mirror size for cloakroom

5 years agoI don't think the large mirror will look wrong, it depends on the size of the cloakroom overall, and it's all down to personal taste at the end of the day.
Here's a basin your size with the exact size large mirror:-
I think I prefer a smaller one, one that doesn't overshoot the width of the basin, and I'd probably go for oval.

Comments (16)Thanks to all for taking time to give advice. I am beginning to think I have been too conservative! I like the idea of painting woodwork and walls in the same shade and bringing down the white from the ceiling onto the walls at picture rail height (I have this at the moment do will probably stick with that). I think also I could be a bit more adventurous with the floor covering. I had wanted wall hung furniture but was advised that as the walls are partition walls it would be best to go for floor standing units. We have gone for Bathstore Myplan units which I think are quite a streamlined style and not fussy for this small space....See Moremirror for cloakroom

5 years agoThank you. The layout is similar to the second image. The wall with the mirror is 2.4m with a ceiling height of 2.7m. It will have a towel rail beside the basin which is 600mm wide. See photo but in anthracite colour not white. This is the only photo I have of the mirror as its in storage just now so hopefully you can get the idea.

5 years agoErica, we suggest rotating the mirror, hanging it in horizontally, so the length is twice the length of the basin. That will look good, but then opt for an above mirror wall light or better yet a small chandelier.
