Comments (7)I find the wallpaper overpowering. If it were my home I would paint the wood in white, as well as the pine architraving etc, but leave the doors as they are. Then paint the walls in a warm pale shade from the carpet such as beige or grey. There is a Story on Houzz about using colours other than grey or white in a hallway which may be of interest. Comments (3)When you enter the house are the stairs immediately in front of you? Where do the doors either side lead to? I have stairs directly in front of the front door (no hall) and a living room on the right. My staircase gets most of the light from the glazed front door and the glazed living room door. Changing to glazed doors can really help with lighting. Sorry, I haven’t made any suggestions for colour!
