Do you eat in the kitchen more often after your kitchen renovation?
Comments (19)Definitely. My original kitchen was developer’s kitchen —ie, it photographed well but did not function. The only place to put a table in the kitchen itself would have been in front of the back door, which is itself a natural thoroughfare from the open plan living room. Now I have a lovely breakfast bar/peninsula facing the brightest part of the kitchen, and I can easily spend hours there over breakfast, brunch or coffee. Dinner I tend to eat in front of the tv, and when I’ve visitors the main table in the dining room is used....See MoreKitchen renovation
Comments (8)I’m not sure I’d paint the cupboards either. Are new doors and handles in budget? It would be worth pricing up. i can’t photoshop at all but ive tried removing the paint colour and wall cupboards as it may help with the vision (or not!) Just wondering whether accessorising and removing the wall cupboards and extractor would work for you if new doors etc aren’t in budget? A vase of stems on the breakfast bar and maybe a natural textured rug in front of the sink. I‘ve just got one from Zara for £30 i did also wonder if black fluted panelling on the back of the island would work (practically) but it may be money not worth spending. You could also add pendant lights over the bar...See MoreKitchen renovation, before, during and hopefully after

Dining room looks the same, will be tackling that later in the year....See MoreKitchen renovation
Comments (2)It really depends on the sizing for the space and what else you need to fit in as well as how far over those doors go on the left-hand side. You could consider something like this. Boxing in the corner to create a separate utility and then building the kitchen up on the left-hand side of the space. Apologies for the crude drawing....See MoreAnthony (Beano)
