Comments (1)If you like the natural wood look then tung oil is brilliant. Not to expensive and is completely non-toxic, in fact they recommend using it to paint fruit bowls, children's toys etc That being said if your Builder done it correctly I don't see why varnish would not be up to the job....first cost on bare wood 50/50 then 2 coats on top of that or go for an oil-based varnish...See MoreKitchen design advice - wall colour and worktops!

It’s a 6mm solid surface wrapped around a chipboard core, so it has most of the advantages of a solid/quartz surface at a fraction of the price. Many worktops are still hard to source so if you see something you like buy it while you can....See MoreNeed advice on kitchen worktop and sink

The worktop just check hundreds of photos and like Daysi England here suggest Marble design, (I cannot afford a granite or silestone) be matching the shaker cabinets better. All the kitchen be same cabinet color . .... and yes, I don't intend do remodelation for at least 15 years! . Im open to more opinions....See More- 6 years ago
