Which window dressing for bay Crittal window?
Comments (21)I too thought shutters would block out too much light, but the look when fitted is so lovely, and with wider size slats, the more light they let in. The pics below have small slats but its the same style of bay with shutters. Also don't have the push rods on the front if you want a cleaner look. Having the slats split so top/bottom open separately like pic below is also good if you want privacy without shutting out light from the top. High gloss shutters also reflect light into the room and shutters seem to go with any look, period or contemporary....See MoreCrittall glass screen or double door?
Comments (10)Thanks Minnie and Jen. Sorry that I was not clearer in my initial post. We are knocking through the wall between current front room and kitchen as well as the wall/internal window between current kitchen and living room. The garden is west facing and front room east facing. Our issue is that having seen some of the neighbour did the above, somehow the middle room still feels a bit claustrophobic and dark and so is the corridor. This is why we are scratching our head to come up with design to mitigate it. Our initial plan is option B with Crittall glass screen and single pocket door. Comments (6)Hi Steel windows are fantastic as long as they are thermally broken Secco, mhb, and Jansen there are a couple of others as well but all of these will cost over £1800 m2 W20 systems like Crittal are not thermally broken and will condensate so be careful just because it’s double glazed lots of frames are not thermally broken Heritage aluminium is a compromise but much cheaper Check out our web site for photos and details Below are thermally broken steel projects we are installing at the moment Matt www.skyglaze.co.uk...See MoreCrittall Windows/doors
Comments (2)Hi J B We sell genuine Crittall steel windows and doors and due to the exquisite quality and hand finished manufacturing process, they do come at a premium price. When you compare Crittall with alternative aluminium products though, I think you will agree, Crittall is in a league all of its own! The greater strength of steel allows for much thinner frames, meaning more glass and unspoilt views. Although Crittall have been around for nearly two centuries, their product is thoroughly modernised... Double glazed thermally efficient windows, hot-dip zinc galvanised steel frames, powder coated finish in Duralite to any RAL colour - All contributing to a beautiful product that is almost entirely maintenace free! If you want to discuss your project with our team, we can provide you with quotes for Crittall (and suitable alternative products if you wish), but have a look at the brochures available on our website before you make a decision.
