Lighting help please

I am having lounge refurbed with new fire and want to address ceiling lights. Here is a floor plan. The room is big and the ceilings are just below 8ft.
I plan to use lamps to make room cosier but my husband is fan of having downlights across ceiling on a dimmer for when we need them.

I have looked at so many guides and feeling little bit overwhelmed.

Rather than uniform lights it looks like I should place downlighting where I want to highlight areas.

So I am thinking one in front of each door, one each side of fire (should these be mini or same size?)

Then I am little lost! I could really do with some help please to tell me what I should put where. Distance from walls, each other etc.

I am having a flush light in centre of main area (front of fire/tv) and same in dining area.

I would prefer white down lights on ceiling to be less noticeable, but then I am not sure if they should be adjustable / tilt.
Also should I look for something with a beam 40-50 degrees? Or is that not necessary?

I am not keen on lights tight to wall as it seems to cast shadows which I am not keen on.

I believe warm light is good choice.

There are two sofas and a chair to form a u shape in front of fire.

There will be a sideboard on the wall measuring 295 and a table in dining end.

Sorry I know there is lots here but would really appreciate some help.

Thank you
