What would you call this finish/style of kitchen cabinets?

Hello, what would you call the style/finish/colour of this kitchen island/cabinets? I like that it's not a flat colour but unsure what it is exactly!

I would describe it is as concrete effect.

The lack of bench space, and I'm not sure which category of the poll that fits into. Layout maybe, since we'll need to move things around to make it work. Our kitchen is enormous, but it's all storage - one whole wall is floor to ceiling pantry-style cabinets. On the other all the stovetop and the sink take up a full half of the bench top, so there is just enough room for one chopping board and bowl on what's left when you are cooking. The crazy thing is, it's not even a tiny galley kitchen, but the space in between the two walls is only just big enough to squeeze an island in, so we are trying to decide between being cramped, or knocking down walls and completely remodelling. Can't quite bring ourselves to pull the trigger on the latter, though, as all the cabinets and cupboard are in great shape.

Hi Cesca, as your kitchen is quite dark I would go for white cupboards and natural wood worktops, something like your table and chairs. This I would live without changing as I think they looks very nice. I would move the table 50cm from the kitchen cabinets and put some nice carpet just under the table and the chairs to make the space warmer and more cozy. I would paint the walls with light green and add some colourful details. White ir light grey curtains would also make your kitchen look special. If one day you decide to change the floor go for natural wood.

Just came across this - lovely cabinet. Interesting to see as we recently had a similar cabinet made as a bespoke piece of furniture for a customer. Different style but similar principal - photos below. This one was made from solid elm wood and weighed a tonne! The customer referred to it as a 'larder cabinet' which seems as good a name as any.
