asbestos mishandling, how to proceed?

We recently bought a house and having the exterior patched up and repainted. According to our builders, a section of the soffits were probably asbestos (thin white board, approx 3 to 5mm thick). We guess it might have been installed in the 90s by the previous owner, but may be earlier.

They removed it themselves, but in the process pieces would have fallen on our patio, which my partner then swept up (wearing a Hepa filter mask).

Reading about it now, I realise this was badly mishandled and want to make sure we mitigate the risks going forward. I've contacted a few companies to quote for surveys for the soffit, the patio area and our loft.

Is there anything else to be done? The builders go in and out of the house to use the bathroom, so I'm thinking about inside air survey too, but not sure if that really makes sense. We have a toddler, so quite worried and willing to spend money on this for peace of mind, but hard to know the best thing to do.

Appreciate any thoughts..

Are you sure it's asbestos? When I bought my 60s home, the survey said my porch ceiling could be asbestos, but it's actually wood. I had an asbestos water tank removed from my loft by a specialist handler who double wrapped it in plastic before taking it through the loft hatch.
