I agree with Bathroom Eleven... A living wall there would really set off the lovely new patio area! Herbs wood be great to enjoy both to cook with and to look at. Lavender will give a lovely purple colour during the flowering stage :) You could even DIY the living wall by simply attaching window box style planters to the fencing yourself. If you would like maintenance free, you could also consider artificial plants to create the look without the fuss. The market now has plenty to choose from and although not cheap initially, they will last for years to come without even watering :)

Do you mean to colour the whole thing or with patterns? I started a thread on it ages ago as we also have a huge concrete slab at the top of the garden. You can buy stains especially for it and they recommend sealing off it to stop it from fading (if painting a pattern on) but otherwise it could be mixed in with the concrete when poured? We put an large outdoor rug on it for now until next summer

Celine there are loads of porcelain finishes from the palest of white to wood effect and dark grey. I would avoid white as it could show the dirt a bit too much! Here’s some more images of porcelain. I don’t know what the paving is in your pics but possibly porcelain?

I would go with Tamp75’s suggestion and paint the wall black. Jet wash the wall, repair any cracks or damage and then cover with masonry paint. Add some trellis panels at regular intervals along the length to create rhythm. I recently made my own from roofing lats which are cheap to buy (see photo of my effort using the plan). Leave them in natural wood and plant climbers to grow up them. You already have a lot of plants, you just need to redefine your border. You could add some plants in an acid green colour (eg Acer Jordan, Choicya Sundance etc) that will really pop against the wall. Good luck.
