Hi Alan, we used the same doors from for our little study. After the decorator had painted them & we removed the protective film from the glass we saw that the paint had bled into the inner frame. Unfortunately there is no way to remove the glass to paint the inner frame so that section will always remain untreated & ours looks worse because of the paint bleeding. Such a shame because from afar the doors look great....just don’t inspect them too closely! When we queried it with the decorator he said the film was there to protect painting errors whereas the big shed said it was there solely to protect the glass & that the decorator had used too much paint on the brush. Argh....

I also think it’s fine. However I think adding interest with a coupe of tallish pots each side of your door could help detract from it by creating focus lower down. You could put bulbs & seasonal bedding plants in pots or you could go for something evergreen like box or bay topiary or small conifers. Other evergreens to consider are hebes, lavender or euonymus.

Not an area within my experience, unfortunately - not sure why there might be a big disparity in costs, but I would encourage you to get detailed quotes from the various possible suppliers and look cloesely to see the differences. There may be a variety of different ranges on offer, so you may not be comparing apples with apples. But in the window industry, it may also be folk just trying to get away with maximising profit wherever they can!
