Profile Trim kitchen handles

Hello! Nearly finished with the kitchen. Handles arrived today, Belsag Profile handles:

They are great. BUT….

Some of my cupboards and my fridge freezer would probably be better if they were on the side not the top. But some are better horizontally drawers)…

Does this matter? Functionally or aesthetically? I haven’t seen them like this elsewhere.
